The 42/65 underwater acoustic modems and USBL transceivers with a wide-angle (100 degrees) transducer beam pattern are high-speed devices for effective transmissions in reverberant waters, providing data transfer rates up to 31.2 kbit/s over a 2000 m range (in favorable conditions).

The wide-angle beam pattern is optimal for vertical, slant, as well as horizontal transfers.

High operating frequency ensures great performance even in noisy environments.
